Are you a fan of Frankenstein stories? You might get a kick out of this game. Joe Magic Games is developing a new board game called The Demise of Dr. Frankenstein! This can be a fun game where you can build your own monster and fight to protect your lab!
Players: 2 -4
Estimated Delivery: March 2015
Location: Idaho Falls, ID
This is the second campaign of this project for the group after their first campaign failed with the hope of producing multiple games. Now, the group will be making these games one at a time. This current campaign has the promise of being more successful. I was drawn to this campaign because I feel that this game would be fun to play, in part, because the stories, of Frankenstein, are part of our culture. This piece of history can be brought to you in the comfort of your own home.
About the Game
The campaign is stated as describing the game as the following: “Each roll of the dice has the possibility of changing the dynamic of the game as you forge ahead with your plans while trying to interfere with the schemes of your opponents. Will you barter with the Trader for some gold, visit the Curator to calm down the villagers your opponent whipped into a frenzy, or take a trip to the Undertaker because– well, the villagers are already mad anyways! Or maybe you’ll snag the first chance to buy some Officer cards to come along for a few rounds.”
Pledge Tiers: Five tiers ranging from $1 – $48
End Date: Sun, Feb 1 2015 3:57 PM EST.
Funding Type: Fixed
Chances of success
This campaign has already reached its goal. But with such a low goal, it’s not really a reliable figure. The goal for the original campaign was $20,000 and right now the new campaign is at $3,311. If $20,000 is needed, there might be issues with available funds running out. Also, there are bound to be delays with printing and packaging. However, Joe Magic Games has delivered all of their rewards from previous projects, and they intend on following through with this project the same way.
