I love to find games that have dynamic game play and emergent futures based on how you play. Celestian Tales seems to be a game that will work that way. In this case, the dynamics are based on moral choices made throughout the game. I really like the emergent game play based on moral decisions. It sort of reminds me of Fable 2 in that respect.
“The Old North is a world of fantasies and realities. Of swords and sorceries, yet of humans and mortals. A world where the utmost evil is not a dimension-defying sorcerer or an awakened godlike creature of ancient myths, but the darkness lurking in every man’s heart. A world where peace, love, and compassion stand side by side with hatred, pride, and jealousy. A world where the virtues and vices of humanity are two sides of the same coin. Grey morals, questionable justice, and blind faith are among the main themes of Celestian Tales.”
There is a working prototype of Celestian Tales: Old North available for download. Having a proof of concept should help improve the odds of success for the campaign and for the project overall.

Chances of success
This is the Ekuator Games’ second attempt and crowd funding Celestian Tales. It seems like they have learned a lot from their first campaign and have spent a lot of time gathering additional support. While pledge amounts have slowed considerably since the initial launch of the project, Celestian Tales is almost funded, and it would be very surprising if it couldn’t reach that last few thousand dollars. How much higher than that funding will go is difficult to say. Beta support is a relatively low cost option so that’s a plus.
