Graphically, oddball Aeronauts: Pirates vs the Pendragon by Maverick:Muse feels like an Ancient Chinese version of Steampunk. This may or may not have been the intentional of Maverick:Muse, but in my opinion it works quite well.
oddball Aeronauts is played using single hands of cards, which means that a surface is not necessarily when playing this game. At the start of the game, you pick a skill and determine how many cards to hold. You win the game if your opponent runs out of cards. You can find the rules to oddball Aeronauts on dropbox.

Chances of success
First, let me mention that a beta version of this game is available, which means that the team at Maverick:Muse have put a fair amount of effort into the project already. That’s definitely reassuring. Second, international shipping is an option, which is very important for a successful campaign, especially the campaign is outside of the United States—let’s face it; the bulk of Kickstarter’s traffic is US based.
Now for the negatives, and quite frankly, they probably aren’t major enough to cause the campaign to fail, but more that the campaign might do a bit better with them: The campaign does have Kickstarter exclusives, but they aren’t guaranteed. A backer only has a chance to name pilot set captains. Now, you can get custom cards in your own deck with a higher tier, and custom content is great in any campaign, but these modifications aren’t distributed with all of the games.
Update: Stretch goals have been announced and they include backer exclusives. If the first stretch goal is reached, Kickstarter backers will receive 310gsm linen card stock rather than the 300gsm smooth. For those not familiar with card stock, that is a rather big difference.
